Artist Statement:

My works represents themes and ideas that relate to joy, love, and the comfort and pride that comes with being black. My paintings emphasize the joy and love one can experience when given an opportunity to do so without opposing forces preventing such happiness and feelings of love. As black people, we should be allowed to bask in happiness and love without worry that something will come along and disrupt it. With these works, I want people to resonate with the love and joy that is being depicted.
